CBoT soybean prices have already fallen yesterday for seven consecutive trading days, reaching a three-month low. The best vegetation conditions in Brazil and rains after a two-month drought in Argentina lead to another record harvest in South America.
The competition with bean exports from the US will intensify in the coming weeks. US exports lag behind those of the previous year. Headwinds are also coming from China, because from 1 January deliveries from the US may only contain 1% foreign components instead of the previous 2%.
