Yesterday, the Reuters news service reported that China is preparing to buy 30 million tons of agricultural goods to replenish its state reserves. This is to ensure the supply of food should the logistics chains be interrupted during the corona pandemic. Most of the purchases will come from the United States.
This includes around 10 million tons of soybeans and 20 million tons of corn.
