Fears of continuing drought in the US wheat-growing regions push CBoT wheat prices up to a seven-week high this morning.
A dry growing season in the southern plains will limit yields, according to experts in hard-red winter wheat. This week, so-called crop scouts begin their much-publicized field survey in the state of Kansas. One hopes for more information about the dryness-related crop damage first-hand.
