Yesterday and this morning, the prices of CBoT wheat futures are easing slightly as global supply pushes. However, the year 2017 closes the CBoT wheat trade with an increase of 4.5%, after the price fell in August to its lowest level in four years. This is the first annual increase in five years.
Fear of a shortage of quality wheat in the US raised prices to their highest level in June and July. There is no high-protein wheat in any surplus region in the world this year.
Australia, the most important wheat grower for Asia, is currently harvesting its smallest crop in ten years, after being too dry in the summer and having a negative impact on rainfall during the harvest.
