CBoT: Wheat is recovering

This morning, the wheat futures on the CBoT are trading at premium again after yesterday they fell sharply as a result of profit-taking after the latest premium. Market participants are concerned about the unfavorable weather in important growing regions. "Weather services continue to expect no change in soil moisture in the drought-hit Black Sea region and the United States," said Tobin Gorey, director of agricultural strategy at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. So far, the weekly gain on December 20, frontline month, has been around 4%. Weekly US export sales yesterday were in line with expectations at 568,100 tons of wheat.
