Chinese importers bought wheat and barley in France this week after falling prices, with around 10 large ships said to be booked, five European traders said on Friday.
The purchase reflects continued Chinese import demand for feed grain for livestock.
This week's sales are estimated to include four to six loads of French feed wheat from the 2021 harvest and four to five loads of feed barley from the 2022 harvest. The deals involve Panamax ships, which means the total volume could reach around 600,000 tons, the dealers said.
