China sold 889.094 tons of maize from the State reserve

China has sold today 889.094 tons of corn from his State grain reserve, so it is available on the Government website. The grain comes from the year 2012 and 24.134 tons at that time came from the United States.
The amount offered in a tender, 43% were sold.
It's the first tender of its kind this year and also the first since the Government has made the decision in March to abandon the intervention system for maize.
Also wheat rice and rapeseed oil supplies from State-owned of China to be auctioned from May 31 until June 2.
