Coceral lowers forecast of EU wheat production

The grain trade association Coceral has lowered its forecast for common wheat production this year in the European Union and Great Britain to 136.5 million tons. Last month the forecast was 137.9 million tons. In 2019, 145.7 million tons of wheat were harvested, according to Coceral. In contrast, the prospects for barley production in the EU and the UK have increased from 60.8 million tonnes to 61.8 million tonnes.
