FranceAgriMer announces this morning that corn planting in France will close at 86% on 14 May. In the previous week, the sowing rate was 74%, compared to 97% a year ago.
The state of winter wheat stocks in France remained stable again. As in the past two weeks, FranceAgriMer gave the top rating "good to excellent" for 78% of its holdings. At the same time last year 75% of the stocks were in top condition.
In the case of winter barley, the situation improved so that 75% of the stocks received the top rating (previous week: 74%). The condition of summer barley in France has deteriorated again. After 78% in the previous week, only 77% of the stocks received the top rating.
