Corn can gain slightly

In an overall friendly market environment, corn contracts on the CBoT also rose yesterday. The most traded March date closed with an increase of 1.25 euros at 205.75 euros per ton. The follow-up contracts also went north. As in the past few days, the forward curve remains rising for the current season. Trading on the cash markets in Germany remains manageable. Especially in the southern regions, offers keep coming from neighboring European countries. Trade is always carried out, especially for early dates, but producers in most regions are taking a wait-and-see approach to later deliveries. Corn rose slightly on the CBoT yesterday. The rapid harvest is slowing price developments, and the weather situation in Brazil continues to have a supportive effect. The change of government in Argentina is also likely to bring changes to agricultural policy there, which are currently not being interpreted to the detriment of US exporters. Premarket today, corn futures in Chicago are trending slightly red. There will be no trading tomorrow as the CBoT will be closed due to the American holiday “Thanksgiving”.
