Corn on Euronext rose sharply in yesterday's trading, posting double-digit gains. The trading day on the CBoT was just as bullish. Here, the front month recorded an increase of $42.25 US cents/bushel and thus costs the equivalent of EUR 262.56/ton. The current focus is primarily on developments in the Ukraine. If the export ports do not resume work in a timely manner, the Ukrainian corn export business in particular could suffer. Otherwise, most of the goods are shipped to China in particular. According to experts, the outstanding export commitments could add up to 14 million tons.
