In Paris, corn contracts took over the bullish sentiment and also closed with modest gains. In the slipstream of wheat prices, corn also went north on the CBoT. The front month recorded a profit of $20.5 US cents/bushel and thus costs the equivalent of EUR 234.22/ton. In addition to worries about the political situation on the Ukraine-Russia border, the reduced earnings outlook continues to drive the bulls. A sustainable improvement in the cultivation conditions does not seem to be in itself at the moment.
