Corn is friendlier again today

Yesterday there were red signs for corn on Euronext/Matif and on the CBoT. In Paris it fell by 0.50 euros to 192.75 euros/t. The USDA's updated estimates of the coming US corn harvest are having a negative impact on both sides of the Atlantic. Overall, the market in this country is also well supplied and the volumes traded are manageable. Imported goods can be accessed at short notice, as market participants report. Free-on-truck port Brake corn is valued at between 207 and 208 euros/t. In South Oldenburg, feed corn costs 194 euros/t. At the CBoT, in addition to the acreage, the favorable weather forecast in the Midwest also weighed on price expectations. Sowing has already begun in six federal crops so far. The prospects are positive that the farmers will make rapid progress in the remaining starts due to the weather conditions. The Euronext/Matif shows positive trends until midday and the losses from the presentation can usually be recovered. It's different at the CBoT, where corn is trending slightly more favorably this afternoon before the trading session.
