On the Matif, corn went south again yesterday. The most traded March date closed at a price of 330.75 euros/t. There is a lack of corn on the spot markets due to the poor harvest, but the current good delivery capacity in Ukraine compensates for the deficits, which is why prices remain largely unchanged. FOT Brake will continue to be quoted at 344 euros/t, from the Southwest Germany station rates between 335-340 euros/t will be quoted. The Ukrainian freight across the Black Sea is currently increasingly stuck on the Bosporus. The controls are dragging, it was announced that the number of inspectors is to be increased shortly in order to clear the freighter jam. Prices also fell on the CBoT. Domestic logistics remains the main problem child. Since many freighters can only operate on the waterways with reduced capacity, there are fears that this will have a significant impact on the export business. The production of ethanol, on the other hand, continues to increase, but stocks in warehouses are also increasing again.
