Despite little news in the corn market, prices in Paris rose sharply again yesterday. The front month of June is quoted at EUR 354.50, EUR 5 higher than on Tuesday. It was reported from the Ukraine that the exporters there were able to export 768,486 tons of corn by rail and road, in April last year export volumes of 2.8 million tons were still on the invoices. The first cautious estimates are that around 16.3 million tons of grain have been lost in Ukraine as a result of the shelling of grain storage facilities or are being blocked by Russia. At the CBoT traders are waiting for the new export figures today. Pre-market futures are green this morning.
