The specifications for wheat and the situation on the Black Sea also ensured that corn prices on Euronext/Matif increased slightly yesterday. Here, however, the price increases were significantly lower than for wheat. The front month of March rose by 0.75 euros/t to 287.50 euros/t. On the cash markets in this country, there are still only low turnovers. The listings have recently given way or remained unchanged. Corn also rose on the CBoT. The most traded March contract was up 10 US cents/bu. With a closing price of 654.00 US cents/bu, the March contract was quoted at the equivalent of 244.35 euros per ton. In addition to concerns about Ukraine's exports, higher crude oil prices also boosted the CBoT. US export shipments were at the low end of traders' expectations at 500,000 tons. In the season so far, US exporters have shipped around 3 million tons less corn abroad than in the previous marketing year. The pre-market signs are green on the eCBoT today.
