In view of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the German stock index plummeted again. At the start of trading in Frankfurt am Main, the Dax fell below the threshold of 9,000 points for the first time since 2016. That is 5.57 percent less than the closing price on Friday. The stock exchanges in Paris and London also opened significantly in the red.
