DRV increases harvest estimate for wheat and rapeseed in Germany

Germany's 2020 wheat harvest will drop by 2.6% year-on-year to 22.46 million tons according to the DRV. That would be a little more than in the last forecast of 22.21 million tons in June. According to this, the plants have benefited from the rain in recent weeks after the dry spring weather in Germany.
The association also predicts that the German winter rapeseed harvest in 2020 will increase by 13.7% compared to the particularly poor harvest of last summer to 3.21 million tons. This is also an increase from the estimated 3.20 million tons in June.
