Dryness on Australia's east coast is intensifying

The dryness on the Australian east coast continues to worsen, after as little rain has fallen in the past five months as never before. That tells the Weather Bureau in Sydney this morning.
Australia's meteorologists said that throughout the period from 1 April to 31 August, the entire east coast of the continent had received significantly less rainfall than normal. Almost all regions are now officially too dry.
Last week, weather experts had already predicted that the dry weather on the East Coast would continue in the next three months. The farmers in Australia are fighting for economic survival.
