Yesterday, after the close of trading, the Leipzig futures exchange EEX published its potato index, which is now used to settle the remaining 5498 lots of futures maturing in April-18.
Accordingly, since the last week, spot market prices in Western and Central Europe have increased by a further 30 cents.
Except for the Dutch cash market quotes, the news from the other three registrations rose quite sharply.
Including France, where the Bintje price is now given at € 4.3 / dt. This is an increase of 50 cents for the previous week and the first increase in four weeks. Thus, the spot prices in France are still the lowest in the group of four of the detectors.
The Belgian listing, which is also dominated by the unpopular Bintje variety, was yesterday at € 4.43 / dt (+0.38). In Holland, the spot market quotation fell by 13 cents and remained at € 6.94 / dt just below the € 7 mark. The German quotation once again increased by 41 cents and flows into the index at € 7.53 / dt.
