Egypt GASC has cancelled yesterday evening the wheat tender by August 22. Wheat for the delivery period 21 to 30 September was searched. Traders were surprised by the decision, because hours before negotiations were conducted with several suppliers. Therefore, reasons for the cancellation were not mentioned.
Egypt received a total of 11 offers in the tender.
The lowest bid at a price of $171,10 per tonne FOB referring to 55,000 tons of wheat of Ukrainian origin.
