The follow-up of a wheat shipment from the United States for Egypt showed a greater than the allowed amount of ergot stocking according to the Egyptian Ministry of agriculture. The wheat shipment was rejected yesterday finally. The second sample shows a stocking 0,096% ergot fungi, significantly more than the 0.05% that are now officially allowed in Egypt. This corresponds to the international practice in the grain trade.
On June 12, still 0.006% was found in the samples Mutterkörner. At the time, Egypt has still a "0"-driven Tolernzpolitik on ergot stocking. Therefore, a second trial was sought.
