Egypt's commodity buyer GASC launched a tender for the purchase of an unspecified quantity of wheat yesterday evening. Deliveries are to take place between March 1 and 10.
The company is looking for soft wheat and/or milling wheat with a minimum quantity of approx. 55,000 - 60,000 tons per offer. The prices are to be divided into "parity fob" and freight. The result of the tender is expected this afternoon. Egypt last bought 300,000 tons of Russian, Romanian and Ukrainian wheat on 8 January for delivery at the end of February.
