For the 27 countries of the European Union, the EU Commission expects usable common wheat production of 126.1 million tons for the 2020/21 season, compared to 130.9 million tons for the 2019/20 season.
In its first forecast for next season, the Commission predicts usable EU-27 barley production of 54.3 million tons in 2020/21, compared to 55.1 million tons in 2019/20.
The EU-27 maize production in the 2020/21 season is estimated at 69.3 million tons compared to 70.0 million tons in 2019/20.
The Commission forecasts oilseed rapeseed production of 16.7 million tonnes for oilseeds compared to 14.9 million tonnes in 2019/20.
