The EU Commission today reduced its forecast for the EU wheat harvest in 2017/18 from 142.5 million tonnes to 142.0 million tonnes. The monthly report also shows that lower wheat exports in the 2017/18 marketing period are expected to reach 26 million tonnes (previously 27 million tonnes). The Commission has increased its estimate of EU corn production in 2017/18 from 62.2 million tonnes to 64.6 million tonnes.
