The EU's EU Crop Monitoring Service has lowered its monthly forecast of average wheat yields in the EU from 5.87 tons per hectare (t / ha) to 5.72 t / ha. Maize yield forecasts were also lowered (from 8.04 to 7.94 t / ha). The gesture lowered the average yield expectation (summer and winter barley) from 4.86 to 4.72 t / ha. The forecast of winter barley yields drops from 5.95 to 5.63 t / ha. In addition, the forecast for rapeseed yields was reduced from 3.14 to 2.95 t / ha.
