EU export season begins with sluggish wheat sales

In the new marketing season that started on July 1st, the European Union exported 460,329 tons of common wheat until July 19th. That was 53% less than in the same period last year.
235,526 tons of barley were also exported. This corresponds to 30% less than in the previous year.
Corn imports amount to 556,465 tons (-57%).
The EU Commission still includes Great Britain in these figures, even though the country left the community in January.
