The report by the EU Commission shows that wheat exports increased until June 12th. reached a volume of 25.9 million tons and thus exceeded the previous year's figure by 2.7%. Maize exports have also increased in recent weeks and are now at 5.64 million tons just before the end of the marketing year. In the period last year, the value was only 2.47 million tons. Barley exports have been significantly weaker this season. In the 20/21 season, the volume was 7.06 million tons up to mid-June. The value is currently 6.85 million tons. In terms of imports, the EU recorded growth in wheat with a volume of 2.368 million tons achieved so far. Barley imports have increased the most and, at 829,991 tons, are around 480,000 tons above the level of the previous year. In addition, corn imports increased to 15.597 million tons. In the same period of the previous year, the value was only 13.943 million tons.
