The EU (28) imported 3.83 million tons of soybeans in the 2019/20 season, which started in July last year until May 31. That was 0.2% less than on May 26 the previous season.
Rapeseed imports rose 43% year-on-year to 5.59 million tons.
Soybean meal imports previously amounted to 16.46 million tons (+ 1%), while palm oil imports decreased by 11% and now stand at 5.25 million tons.
Although Britain left the EU at the end of January, the statistics will still include the British this season.
