The EU imports 11% less soybeans and 33% more rapeseed

The European Union imported 6.3 million tonnes of soybeans in the marketing year 2017/18, which started on 1 July, until 9 January. This is 11% less than on the same date last year.
In addition, the EU imported 2.15 million tonnes of rapeseed, 33% more than at that date in 2017.
Soybean meal imports have so far reached 10.2 million tonnes, an increase of 7%.
Palm oil exports were up by 5% at 3.3 million tonnes.
