The most recent data on European import and export business showed that soy imports in particular have declined. So far around 5.8 million tons of the oilseeds have been delivered to the EU. In the previous year it was almost 7 million tons in the same period. The rapeseed imports were also weaker with a volume of 2.1 million tons (previous year: 3.3 million tons). The main reasons for this are the global scarcity of stocks and the recurring logistics problems. The main suppliers for the soy products are still Brazil and the USA.
