EU wheat exports 30% below previous year

The EU's plus Great Britain's common wheat exports in the current 2020/21 season (July 1 to June 30) reached a volume of 6.44 million tons as of October 25, according to public data from the EU Commission. Compared to exports as of October 27, 2019, this is a decrease of 30%.
Barley exports reached a volume of 2.5 million tons (-14%), while corn imports fell by 20% to 5.2 million tons. This week's data includes the results of the previous week. No data was released yesterday due to a technical problem.
The European Commission continues to include the UK in its weekly grain export and import data after exiting the bloc at the end of January.
The Commission's figures, based on customs data from EU Member States, may change in the following weeks.
