In the EU, many traders are reporting increasing requests for grain. Many importing countries are looking for alternatives to avoid the limited opportunities on the Black Sea. Until last Sunday, the EU's wheat exports totaled 17.89 million tons, which is above the level of the previous year (16.59 million tons). Maize exports amounted to 3.71 million tons and have thus increased significantly compared to the previous year (1.645 million tons).
