Today, European traders reported export transactions for a volume of 10,946,000 tonnes of common wheat for the week ending 9/1/18. Soft wheat exports thus increase to 10.946 million tonnes in the current marketing year 2017/18. Together with wheat flour, durum and durum meal, exports totaled 11.96 million tonnes in the 2017/18 marketing year versus 14.96 million tonnes at the same time in the 2016/17 marketing period.
Wheat imports were reported at 72,000 tonnes. In the current marketing year, they totaled 1,559,000 tonnes versus 1,637,000 tonnes in the same period of 2016/17.
