EU wheat exports reach 15.62 million tonnes
European traders announced today that they have export operations in a volume of 373,000 tonnes of common wheat for the week ending 17.04.18. Soft wheat exports thus increase to 15.62 million tonnes in the current marketing year 2017/18. Together with wheat flour, durum and durum meal, exports totaled 17.09 million tonnes in the 2017/18 marketing year versus 22.56 million tonnes at the same time in the 2016/17 marketing period.
Wheat imports were reported at 45,000 tonnes. In the current marketing year, they totaled 3.436 million tons versus 2.732 million tons in the same period of 2016/17.
