Wheat prices showed their red side again yesterday. On the Euronext/Matif, it fell by a clear EUR 11.50 in the busiest December. EU wheat exports currently amount to 10.41 million tons and are therefore slightly below the value of the previous year. However, the exported quantities have decreased significantly compared to the previous week. Turkey is currently looking for milling wheat with a tender for 495,000 tons on the world market. The most recent statements on the grain corridor in the Black Sea have eased tensions. A UN official expressed optimism about progress in the talks. The Ukrainian ships are currently damming up on the Bosphorus. 131 ships are currently awaiting inspection in Istanbul. Most recently, the number of daily inspections was increased from eight ships per day to 12 ships per day. Pre-market signs are green on the CBoT today.
