EU wheat sales above previous year's level

European Union wheat shipments are 15.105 million tons as of January 9, 2022. This means that around 1 million tonnes more were exported than in the previous year (same point in time). The values of the 2019/20 financial year are undercut to the same extent. So far, Germany has contributed 1.88 million tons to total exports. The main exporters remain France with 4.15 million tons and Romania with 4.04 million tons. On the importer side, Algeria, Egypt and China top the list. When it comes to barley, China tops the list of buyers.
