Euronext: Hedgers raised net short wheat holdings last week

Institutional investors increased their net long stock of futures and options on Euronext wheat from 43,300 lots to 44,705 lots last week. This is shown by the report published yesterday by Euronext. The group of non-commercial participants, ie investment funds, banks, insurance companies and the like, continues to bet on rising prices.
The "Commercial Participants" group, including Hedger, increased the stock of net short positions from 111,888 lots to 112,163 lots compared to the previous week. This group has a share of 64.51% in the open contract portfolio.
The share of non-commercial participants, by contrast, holds a significantly smaller share of the open contract portfolio of 16.16%.
It should also be mentioned that 80.67% of the open contract portfolio of Euronext wheat is taken into account and documented (previous week: 80.38%). To view the original reports, please select the link of the corresponding category: WheatCorn rapeseed
