Euronext: Hedgers raised net short wheat holdings last week

Institutional investors increased their net long stock of futures and options on Euronext wheat from 64,860 lots to 77,683 lots last week. This is shown by the report published yesterday by Euronext. The group of non-commercial participants, ie investment funds, banks, insurance companies and the like, continues to bet on rising prices.
The "Commercial Participants" group, including Hedger, in turn increased their holdings of net short positions from 129,872 lots to 138,491 lots compared to the previous week. The share of this group in the open contract portfolio increased from 64.15% to 67.63%.
The non-commercial participants, on the other hand, hold a significantly smaller share of the open contract portfolio, which fell from 16.44% to 15.46%.
83.09% of the open contract portfolio of Euronext wheat was taken into account and documented (previous week: 80.59%). To view the original reports, please select the link of the corresponding category: WheatCorn rapeseed
