Institutional investors increased their holdings from 2,333 net long positions on futures and options as of August 28 in the week ending September 4 to 25,788 net long positions. Non-commercial participants hold 23.3% of the total short positions and 30.2% of the total long positions.
The report accounts for 88.7% of the open short positions and 88.5% of the open long positions in wheat futures.
In rapeseed, the non-commercial participants increased their holdings in rapeseed futures and options from 877 net long contracts to 2,943 net long contracts.
Commercial participants increased their share of net short positions from 9,984 to 11,111 contracts.
