European Commission issued import licences for 231,000 tons maize

Import licences issued the European Commission in maize in the week up to the 30.08.16 to 231,000 tonnes. With a total of 1.387 million tonnes maize import licenses are slightly above the result of the previous year at the same time (1,372 million tons) in the current marketing year. The licences issued for corn exports amounted to 91,000 tonnes and in the current marketing year, on a total of 288,000 tons.
