As a result of the signing of the grain agreement, prices fell significantly on Thursday and Friday. With the shelling of the port in Odessa, however, big question marks are repeatedly raised among market participants. It was questionable in advance how quickly Ukraine would be able to deliver again via its three ports confirmed in the deal. By midday, wheat prices in Paris and Chicago had risen again. The front month of August was traded at a peak of 333 euros/t and at 1 p.m. it stood at 330.00 euros/t, 7 euros above Friday's closing level. Although this has not made up for the losses, the situation on the wheat and corn markets remains tense.
