In the course of friendly indications from the soybean market, rapeseed was able to increase again yesterday. The front month of May rose by EUR 3.25 to EUR 560.75 per tonne. The follow-up contracts also had green signs on yesterday's trading day. The rapeseed prices on the cash markets are largely unchanged. For prompt deliveries carriage paid to Ölmühle Hamburg, 558 euros/t are still being asked. Rapeseed meal prices are also stable. Canola also went north on the ICE in Winnipeg. Here, too, the clearly positive indications from the soy complex and rising palm oil prices provided a tailwind. CBoT soybeans got off to a good start yesterday after the trading break and were up 21.50 US cents/bu to 1,548.75 US cents/bu (534.15 euros/t) at the end of the trading day. Soybean meal gained USD 6.60 to USD 497.70/short ton (EUR 512.72/t) in the front month of March. In particular, updated weather reports for Argentina which continue to forecast dry and warm weather provided a boost. In addition, the weekly export shipments were also at a good level. At 1.57 million tons, slightly fewer beans were loaded for export than in the previous week, but 51 percent more soybean volume was loaded compared to the same week last year. The export volumes are also higher when looking at the previous season compared to the previous season. Pre-market soybean meal is a little firmer today, with soybeans there is still no clear trend.
