Export prices for Ukrainian wheat continue to rise

Last week, wheat export prices in Ukraine rose by a further € 6-7 / ton. Good demand from the world market and fears that sowing will be delayed in autumn are causing prices to rise further.
The prices for wheat with 12.% protein were on Friday of last week at € 220-224 / tonne fob from the Black Sea ports.
Wheat with 11.5% protein cost € 218-222 / tonne fob Black Sea ports.
The Minister of Economy of Ukraine, who is also responsible for agriculture, announced that the start of sowing winter cereals was delayed due to drought in most regions of his country.
Ukraine is one of the world's leading producers and exporters of wheat. This season (July / June) 17.5 million tons of wheat are to be exported.
