After the corn prices made a profit of EUR 2.50 per tonne last Friday, at the start of the week there was another daily increase of EUR 2.25 on the scoreboard in Paris. The March contract closed with a settlement of EUR 280.25, and the other dates also increased in price. On the cash markets in Germany, sales are still manageable and are primarily focused on short-term delivery dates. The prices were stable compared to the previous week. Maize fot brake is currently being traded at 285 euros/t. On the CBoT, the corn contracts started the first trading day of the new week with significant losses, but were able to make up for the losses in the course of trading and went out of trading at the closing bell with a green sign. US export shipments were 480,000 tons, down about 62,000 tons from the previous week, but as the USDA was able to announce several export sales, disappointment at the decline was quickly erased. For example, a customer from Japan buys 110,000 tons of corn and a customer from Mexico buys a total of 200,000 tons. With the start of pre-market trading on the eCBoT, however, there are losses again today, which eat up the profits of the presentation.
