Five more cases of African swine fever in wild boar

Another five cases of African swine fever were found in wild boars in the eastern German state of Brandenburg, the state government announced today.
The cases were found in dead wild boars. The location was near the wild boar found last week, said the Brandenburg Minister of Health Ursula Nonnemacher to a committee of the state parliament.
The first tests were positive, but the final confirmatory tests are underway at the German Friedrich Loeffler Institute, she said at a meeting shown on the Internet.
China and a number of other pork buyers banned German pork imports in the past few days after the first case was confirmed.
