France exported 1.51 million tonnes of wheat in March. With 925,000 tons, the lion's share was sold to EU member states. Since the beginning of the current marketing period 2017/18, France exported 6.48 million tonnes of wheat within the EU. The largest buyers in March were the Netherlands (264,000 tonnes), followed by Belgium (243,000 tonnes) and Spain (185,000 tonnes).
Algeria bought 166,000 tonnes of French wheat in March. Total exports to destinations outside the EU reached 584,000 tonnes in March, totaling 5.52 million tonnes in the current marketing year.
