The condition of wheat stocks in France improved somewhat in the week up to May 18, reports the French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer. 57% of the holdings received the top rating "good to excellent". This is a 2% increase from the previous week (55%). The state of the winter gesture has also improved. It rose from 51% to 52%. The state of spring barley has deteriorated again. The proportion of stocks in top condition fell from 62% to 58%.
Corn sowing in France was completed on May 18 on 93% of the planned areas. In the previous week, the progress was 90%. 86% of the accumulated maize crops are in top condition versus 87% in the previous week.
