The state of winter wheat and spring barley stocks in France deteriorated again last week and ratings have therefore declined for the second week in a row. This is reported by the French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer in its weekly harvest report.
58% of the common wheat stocks received the top rating "good to excellent" as of April 20, compared to 61% in the previous week.
The fall in ratings for spring barley is more evident. As of April 20, only 69% of the stocks were in top condition, compared to 78% in the previous week.
Meanwhile, corn sowing continues. 52% of the areas planned in France have now been ordered, the sowing progress was 25% in the previous week.
