The French agricultural consultancy FranceAgriMer today published its weekly update on the state of grain stocks and the progress of spring sowing. After that, the condition of winter wheat stocks deteriorated again. Only 55% of the holdings in France received the top rating "good to excellent". This is a 2% decrease from the previous week. At the same time last year, 79% of the winter wheat stocks received the top rating.
The condition of the barley has also deteriorated. 51% of winter barley (previous week: 53%) and 62% of spring barley (previous week: 64%) were in top condition.
Corn sowing is coming to an end. 90% of the planned areas have been ordered, the sowing progress was 77% in the previous week.
